South Pearl

This South Pearl project turned a patchy, thirsty front lawn into a designed water-wise streetscape. In place of grass, a dry creek bed of quarried boulders and river rock runs the length of the yard, planted with drifts of ornamental grasses, sedum, and low native shrubs that catch the light and move in the wind. Clean steel-and-cable fencing and young shade trees frame the entry, giving the whole block a modern, intentional feel.

The build is engineered for the Front Range: a graded, free-draining rock base that manages stormwater on site, a plant palette chosen to thrive at altitude on minimal irrigation, and hardscape detailed to hold crisp lines through freeze-thaw. It's curb appeal that works with Colorado's climate instead of fighting it — no mowing, no thirsty turf, and a landscape that looks composed in every season.
