Xeris Landscaping LLC
Service Terms
These terms apply to every Xeris Landscaping proposal, estimate, and the work we perform once a proposal is accepted. Accepting a proposal — in our online portal, by signature, or in writing — means you've read and agreed to them.
1. Estimates & pricing
Estimates are valid through the date shown on the proposal (or 30 days from issue when no date is shown). Pricing reflects the scope described in the proposal. Material availability and wholesale pricing can shift between seasons; if a priced item becomes unavailable we'll substitute a comparable item of equal or better quality, or talk with you before making a change that affects price.
2. Scheduling, payment & deposits
Projects are scheduled upon acceptance and deposit receipt. Unless the proposal states otherwise, a deposit of 50% is due to hold your installation window, with the balance due on completion. Invoices are payable on receipt. We accept check, Zelle, and the payment methods listed on your invoice.
3. Changes & add-ons
Small field adjustments happen on almost every project — we'll flag anything that changes your price before we do it. Scope additions requested during the project are quoted and confirmed in writing (a text or email is fine) before the work is added.
4. Site conditions & utilities
We call in utility locates (811) before digging. Private lines the locate service doesn't mark — irrigation, landscape lighting, pet fences, private gas or power runs — are the owner's responsibility to identify; we're not liable for damage to unmarked private lines. Subsurface surprises (buried concrete, roots, rock, unstable soil) that materially change the work are handled as a change under section 3.
5. Plant warranty
Plants we supply and install carry a one-season warranty: a tree or shrub that fails within the same growing season (or by June 1 of the following year for fall installs) is replaced once, free of charge. The warranty requires reasonable watering and care per the guidance we leave you — it does not cover drought stress from missed watering, animal damage, hail or extreme weather, or plants relocated or altered after installation. Perennials, annuals, and customer-supplied plants are not warrantied.
6. Hardscape & materials
Workmanship on hardscape (edging, rock, flagstone, pavers, walls) is warranted for one year. Natural materials vary — stone color, mulch tone, and plant size will differ from photos. Minor settling of mulch, rock, and soil in the first season is normal.
7. Irrigation & drainage
Irrigation modifications are tested and demonstrated at completion. Landscape grading directs surface water as designed, but we can't guarantee against water intrusion from events beyond the design scope (extreme storms, upstream drainage changes, pre-existing foundation issues).
8. Weather & delays
Landscaping is weather-dependent. Rain, snow, frozen ground, or nursery delays can shift your start date; we'll keep you posted and reschedule promptly. Weather delays don't change pricing.
9. Property access & care
Please have gates unlocked, pets secured, and vehicles clear of the work zone on scheduled days. We treat your property with care, protect surfaces where practical, and leave the site clean at the end of each work day.
10. Photos
We may photograph completed work for our portfolio and marketing. Photos never include your name, address, or anything identifying. If you'd rather we not photograph the finished project, just tell us.
11. Insurance & limitation
Xeris Landscaping LLC carries general liability insurance; a certificate is available on request. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the work giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
