A Colorado native bulbous perennial adding delicate nodding pink or purple flower clusters to xeriscape gardens. The charming pendant umbel flowers appear mid-summer and attract butterflies and native bees. Unlike ornamental alliums, A. cernuum is fully drought tolerant and thrives in lean, well-draining soil. The narrow, grasslike foliage contributes fine texture to planting schemes.
